Mission / What we do as a communityﾠ
Interrupcion was established in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2001, and New York in 2003. We were founded on the principle belief that by changing the ways in which organizations and individuals view their roles in society we can create a new, socially responsible economy, composed of sustainable economic supply chains that yield high-quality, affordable products while generating and increasing positive social outcomes. We are working to create integrated and linked value chains (supply chains) spanning from the seeds to the consumers.ﾠ

Definitionsﾠ
Interrupcion develops all natural, organic, socially responsible food products and participates in projects that aim to establish efficient processes for Socially Responsible Supply Chain development. From the seed to the consumer, interrupcion works in order to finance, import, distribute and market products in the North American Natural/Organic and Specialty markets, while investing and operating within a framework of social responsibility developed by interrupcion in communities in Argentina.Interrupcion currently imports three products: Trianna Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, All Natural Mmm Dulce de Leche, and Patagonia Berries, a line of handmade artisan jams. Forty new products are currently in production with Argentine producers.

Your Roleﾠ
Agentﾠ- an autonomous individual member of interrupcion, working while creating positive social change; a social entrepreneur and regional representative of interrupcion; a community educator of social responsibility and an interrupter. An interrupcion Agent of Social Change works in the region where he/she lives, is a food broker of interrupcion fair trade products, and manages and coordinates the Responsible Consumption Campaign tasting and education sessions. The Responsible Consumption Campaign promotes interrupcion fair trade products to consumers and responsible consumption as a way to positively change the world; Educates consumers and partners about responsible consumption and Fair Trade processes; Invests in win-win, mutually beneficial relationships with interrupcion*s valued commercial partners, member individuals, organizations, and the global community.ﾠ

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for individuals that would like the opportunity to become a social entrepreneur by investing their time and energy in their local communities. Paid positions are available for entrepreneurial, dynamic, enthusiastic, concerned, and conscious individuals who can see the potential for a different world and want to participate in creating it. Everyone who works with interrupcion* makes a commitment to a community of socially responsible work, consumption, investment, and participation for a better world. Compensation:
$9 per hour + 10% sales in your region. Agents are classified as independent contractors, and interrupcion* is not responsible for withholding state and federal taxes from paychecks.
