Do you want to work with a hot team of startup visionaries? Are you talented enough to work on an innovative web app that is changing the advertising industry? Do you want your work to make an impact in the web community?

This position will start as a freelance contract with a minimum 2 months work. If you and your work are successful you will likely receive a full time offer in Chicago. Telecommuting is OK for freelance work.

Selected as a semifinalist for TechCrunch’s 40 hottest stealth startups in the world, our company is exciting and building momentum in the advertising industry.

You will have a significant role in the fast paced development of our application (a real application, not a widget). You'll work independently or with our team of ridiculously cool programmers.

What we're looking for:
- Smart, passionate people who love to code
- PHP 4/5 as one of your primary languages
- Appreciation and use of great design and standards
- Able to work full hours per week
- People who eat APIs for breakfast and know what MVC is
- Experience with remote dev teams and *fast* paced environments

Extra credit:
- Experience with RoR, Java, Python, and other OOPs
- Experience with startups or advertising industry
- Involvement in open source or local development community

What we're not looking for:
- People who can't handle the speed, responsibility, and ambiguity of a startup
- People who have done some ‘web stuff’ but have not worked on anything significant. If your largest project is a local bakery, this means you.
- People who have taken a few classes on web design but are not passionate about it.
- Offshoring

We value great developers and your compensation will reflect that. Please email us your résumé, portfolio, and source code samples. Selected candidates will go through a phone interview and a small coding task. Work will start ASAP.

Location: Chicago / telecommute
Compensation: depends on experience
Telecommuting is ok.
This is a contract job.
