Creating graphics to advertise and promote your business can be an intimidating task. Paying a professional to do it can be very expensive. But doing it yourself and take a ton of time, money for software, and the risk that your business will suffer if your graphics are lousey.
There are tons of graphics programs out there. Many of them expensive and time consuming to learn. Some of the most popular graphics programs like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop handle graphics well but not text. You need both if you want to create buttons and banners for your site. I use Corel Paint Shop Pro because it handles graphics and text professionally. I've been using it for about 8 years. I am by no means a professional graphic artist but I think I do well enough. It has taken more time than I care to even think about, learning how to make this software do what I want it to do. There are tons of tutorials online, that helps. For someone who wants to make a lot of graphics and even get into designing brochures and websites (something I do), I would highly recommend Corel Paint Shop Pro. But if graphic design is only supposed to be a money saving project to help promote your business, here are a few resources that will save you a ton of time and money.
